This new year, it’s time to stop resolving what you’re going to change about yourself and start figuring out how to make the most significant changes for you. If you’re on the hunt for some alternative new year’s resolutions for 2022 then you’ve come to the right place.

It also sets more tangible and achievable goals than generic ones like giving up sugar which can leave people feeling defeated if they cannot accomplish them. If these bucket list objectives are met along with other new year’s resolutions, that is even better.
Mindfulness is the practice of being self-aware and present in the moment. It can be achieved through different forms of meditation but doesn’t have to be limited to that.
Mindfulness can help you become more conscious of your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. This can help you become less reactive and more responsive to situations. It can also help you appreciate the present moment and all the small moments that make up our lives. With the world feeling like it’s so upside down right now and so many factors are affecting our mental wellbeing, practising mindfulness should be one of your alternative new year’s resolutions for 2022.
Try New Foods
When it comes to new year’s resolutions, trying different foods is a great way to get started. It’s an easy goal to achieve and can be a lot of fun. There are so many kinds of food out there, and by trying new foods, you’re exposing yourself to new flavours and cuisines. You may also be getting new nutrients that your body needs. Lastly, it’s a great way to learn about other cultures and customs.
Word of the Month/Year
A new year’s resolution can be anything, but I think a word of the month is a great way to start. A word of the month is simply a word that you focus on for the month. It can be anything from a word that describes how you want to feel this year to a word that represents your goals.
My word of the year is “purpose.” I want to be more mindful of why I’m doing the things I’m doing. I want to be more purposeful with my time and my actions. My goal is to not just go through the motions this year but to really think about why I’m doing everything that I’m doing.
It’s important to set realistic goals for ourselves and find resolutions that we can achieve. This is why alternative new year’s resolutions can be a great idea. They are often more manageable and provide a sense of accomplishment when completed.
